Happy 4th of July everybody!!!  These photos are certainly not my best work but at least it's something.  Liberty is doing great.  She is up to 10 and 3/4 pounds.  Today she will be going to TWO 4th of July BBQ's.  Let it never be said that Liberty stayed home on Independence Day!

Well, here we are on June 1st and Liberty is doing great.  She is 9 pounds today and very healthy.  She has been smiling and giggling and cooing and working her way into the world.  Last week we went back to Cedars and saw some of the nurses and friends we made there.  It was great to see everyone.  It's amazing how much of a mark these folks have left on our hearts.  We will be forever grateful.  Now for the candy...

 

 

So here are some snaps from a photo shoot Liberty and I did on her 4 weeks adjusted birthday.  Those are some chubby cheeks!

I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've posted anything.  The time has just FLOWN by (which is amazing when you think about how many hours I've been awake).  Liberty is over 7 pounds now and has outgrown her preemie clothes.  She is growing so fast that I have to remember to try new things on before she outgrows them as well.  It's hard not to wish for the next milestone and to stay present to all the wonderful things she is today.  I am excited to see her smile and sit up and roll over and walk.  I am especially excited for her to start talking in the hope that she might be a little less frustrated once she can communicate waht she wants.  At least then she can just be mad at me for saying "no" instead of frustrated with me for not getting the message.

Well, we are finaly settling into our new roles.  We are a bit sleepy but life is good.  Cort has started his paternity leave from work and will be home for two weeks!!!  I am going to make an attempt to get out into the garden today because Spring has definitely sprung and Lord knows what's going on out there.

 

It looks like we will be having our homecoming party on April 20th in the evening.  Please mark your calenders and stay tuned for more details.  We are thinking Cuban or Brazilian (i.e. Buena Vista Social Club or Bebel Gilberto respectively).
